About This Course

Join NVIDIA® and iD Tech in this enriching academy experience and delve into the latest AI technology with the Jetson Orin Nano™. At the end of your stay, you’ll have the opportunity to share your final project directly with NVIDIA® and earn an official certificate of completion.

Integrate Linux and Python coding with machine learning datasets and cutting-edge NVIDIA® hardware. You’ll build image recognition models that can identify animals and plants, isolate objects, or track poses and movement in live video. Launch each model on your Jetson Orin Nano™ and see results in real-time! You’ll gain insights into how machine learning shapes the future of technology, including AI advancements and even medical breakthroughs with early detection models. This two-week academy will culminate in your final project submission, and you’ll take your Jetson Orin Nano™ home with you to continue your work. All submissions will be reviewed by NVIDIA®, and successfully completed projects will receive an official certificate on the last day of camp. Take this unique opportunity to develop the skills and experience for a college education or career in AI and machine learning!

Course Format 

This course is part of an intensive 2-week summer program running Monday through Friday (overnight at most locations with the option to stay the weekend within the two weeks). Your teen will learn in a lab on an inspiring university campus with a balanced daily schedule of assignment-driven workshops and outdoor/recreational activities. Courses are led by experienced instructors in a small-group setting. Learn more below. 
 

Sample Schedule

In this course, students will explore Python coding and neural networks with the NVIDIA® Jetson Nano™.

Here’s a sample of what each week in the course could look like! Please keep in mind that students will progress at varying paces; this is a general outline of key material and the overall student experience.

Begin by exploring Python and the command line. Once their Jetson Orin Nanos are set up, students will be ready to dive into neural networks and data collection. They’ll begin their first week learning the Python and Linux skills necessary to create their own machine learning projects.

Now that they’ve established machine learning basics, students will push further with more projects and tutorials from NVIDIA and iD Tech. They’ll complete projects such as training machine learning models to detect humans, distinguish between a cat and dog, and recognize different elements from live video. To wrap up, they’ll develop a final project that they’ll submit to NVIDIA. Once approved, students will receive an official certificate.

Portfolio-Boosting Diploma & Transcript

Upon completion of this course, NVIDIA will review each student’s final project to determine eligibility for the certificate. This certificate signifies students’ hard work and skills gained and is a valuable asset that will help them stand out to colleges and future employers.

Teens leave this academy with the NVIDIA® Jetson Orin Nano™ and developer kit, specialized skills, a new network of friends and mentors, resilience, critical thinking opportunities, and official certification that stands out to admissions officers.

At the conclusion of the academy experience, teens will receive an official iD Tech diploma and course transcript outlining everything they learned during the program. They’ll also take home a USB with their course project files, along with access to installation and setup guides so they can continue working at their own pace.

Yes! You can register today for as little as $460 per student, and pay the balance in convenient monthly installments. 

You can also save by registering for multiple sessions (save $50 when you buy a second course in another topic or for a sibling), or by inviting friends to join at camp (earn a $25 credit for each new referral; your friends save $25 too).
